Pablo and his brothers established MiEspacio in 2017 as a small business with less than 100 units. Started with the intent to experiment, their business had seen quite a few vicissitudes in the earlier stage due to some disputes with the Municipality government. But as they progressed their business with making right choices, they turned the tide to their favor.
Their journey of finding the best self-storage software
Initially, MiEspacio made use of spreadsheets to track, collect, calculate, analyze, and report data. It is indeed a tedious and time-consuming task to manage all the data in a spreadsheet and get insights out of it. “We never were using another software; we did a lot with excel, all manually. I spent a long way, looking for the self-storage software made by Argentina, but no one makes it. So, I had been in contact with different software outside until I found 6storage. It is very friendly and easy to use”, says Pablo.
The adapting phase for any software takes a bit of time. Since MiEspacio started using 6Storage, they have been adapting quite well and were involved in a learning curve. The visually engaging Sitemaps and the easy-to-navigate UI are their most loved features of the software.
“We are adapting very well and still learning. It sounds very beautiful and easy to manage but needs more practice. It has good graphics and visuals and a good price for Argentina. The sitemaps are so beautiful and a lot of visuals to see easily”, says Pablo.
Challenges and Long-term goals
The biggest challenges they experience in the storage industry and their market is Marketing and integration with AFIP and an accounting software. AFIP (Administración Federal de Ingresos Públicos or Federal Administration for Public Revenue) is the government institution responsible for the management and supervision of the Argentinian e-invoicing system and tax regulations.
“We expect the tax dept AFIP that must be vinculated with 6Storage to make new invoices, Automation payment credit/debit card system platform is not compatible with Argentina and 6storgae platforms”
The Argentine tax system has certain regulations set for all the companies in terms of tax rates and e-invoicing. Problem arises when none of the accounting software available in Argentina ensures direct integration with AFIP, which can help automate the invoicing processes in Argentina.
“Our long-terms goals are hopefully to expand, more marketing, need to get more tenants until we get the full facility. We need you to develop the API for the integration with the account software made by Argentina and AFIP since it is very important for us. You should contact the Account Software companies from Argentina to see if they can integrate with 6storage” Pablo put forth his views on how 6Storage could help them meet their long-term goals.
