Tennessee Self Storage Association Fall Conference & Expo Recap

The 6Storage team had a BLAST in Nashville for the Tennessee Self Storage Association’s Fall Conference & Expo! This was one of their favorite state shows that they’ve attended all year. Melissa and Josh Huff put on an amazing three day conference, packed full of great content. Keep reading to learn more about the team’s experience at this conference.

Day 1                                  

On day one the team participated in the tradeshow and met with a lot of great Tennessee storage owners who were either looking to upgrade their facility by adding management software or looking to switch from their current software. They also connected with friends at OpenTech, G5, and Storage Shield. It was great to be a part of the live auction where over $8,500 was raised for Storage Gives

Day 2

The 6Storage team attended Stacie Maxwell’s session on understanding and utilizing QR codes on day two. It was very informative from both an owner/operator standpoint and a software sales standpoint.

In the afternoon Michelle led a roundtable session on Navigating Rate Increases Amidst Inflation. In this session she spoke with many owners and operators and shared how they can strike the right balance between financial sustainability, customer satisfaction, and business growth through rate increases.

Day 3

Day three was full of fun sessions! The first was a deep dive into marketing, and while it was targeted to self storage owners, the team can also apply the knowledge to the way they market 6Storage, which is a huge benefit. The 6Storage team also loved hearing from and meeting Bosco and the K9 unit at the Wilson’s County Sheriff’s Office to learn how they investigate criminal activity that can happen at storage facilities. They finished out the day with a funny but informative presentation from a local comedian!
